Social Alliance-HSBC Social Enterprise Business Center

The Center was established in November 2008. It is the first business center in Hong Kong dedicated to supporting and promoting the development of social enterprises. It was established by the Social Welfare Department and the Weakness Fund and the HSBC Charity Fund. The center brings together the forces of the government, business and social welfare circles, hoping to cultivate and invest in social enterprises and social entrepreneurs with innovative ideas. ,

What is a social enterprise?

It is not a pure enterprise, nor is it an ordinary social service. Social enterprises operate through business methods and make profits to contribute to society. Their surplus is used to support vulnerable communities, promote community development and social enterprises themselves. They value social value more than pursue the greatest corporate profits. ,
